I get it. I really do. Politics is an aphrodisiac -- an addiction of sorts. And in its least flattering form, some who make it their career will, just like an addict, sacrifice just about anything to get their "fix". Look at Gov. Sarah Palin.

- Spot on, unfortunately! This is not a partisan issue -- it's an American issue. We have fallen so far and it is pathetic to see the unravelling. Not a pretty picture and we, the public don't even know the half of it.....

- Yes, I will enjoy seeing Obama's skills in the debates 1:1 with McCain. It will be like Mohammed Ali in the ring with Mickey Rourke :). McCain only rarely seems to say anything that isn't on a teleprompter or on 3x5 cards....He is in over his head in so many ways....

- Is it just me or did the McCain speech sound like vacuous, canned comments?? Yes, he is a war hero, but what does that have to do with his judgment or with getting elected as Pres. His speech was vapid -- empty.
